Box Office Associate - Live Events (Part-Time)

Join our team as a Box Office Associate at the Larcom Theatre! Are you a people-person with a passion for live events? The historic Larcom Theatre in Downtown Beverly is looking for a customer-focused and welcoming Box Office Associate to represent our venue during live events. Box Office Associate to be the face of our venue during live events. This part-time role is perfect for someone who loves engaging with people and wants to be a part of the excitement that comes with live performances.

What You'll Do:

  • Be the First Point of Contact: Open and close the Will-Call station with a welcoming smile, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish.

  • Welcome Guests: Greet and assist patrons as they arrive, answering questions about event details and the venue with efficiency and charm.

  • Ticketing Made Easy: Sell and collect tickets efficiently

  • Lead the Team: Manage and support our volunteer ushers, providing them with assignments, badges, and flashlights.

  • Training & Troubleshooting: Assist in training new ushers, resolve seating disputes, and address any guest concerns – with management always available for support.

  • Safety First: Guide guests to exits and provide instructions in case of an emergency.

What You'll Bring:

  • Comfortable with Technology: Strong computer skills and a willingness to learn our ticketing program.

  • Customer Service Excellence: A natural ability to make people feel welcome.

  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and quality in everything you do.

  • Communication Skills: Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with patrons and team members.

  • Experience: At least one year in a customer-facing role, with a background in box office or guest services being a big plus.

  • Flexibility: Availability to work weekends and evenings – because that is when the magic happens! Most events happen Friday night, Saturday day and night, and Sunday day. Occasionally we have paid events during the week.

  • Dependability: Arrive on time for shifts and provide advance notice if you are unable to attend a scheduled shift.
